Continuing my fantasy horsey theme, I go from War to Merry-go-Round.   Anything to relieve the look of Christmas ..

Whoops, this beauty comes from the film White Christmas

And I played around with the image on photoshop

I love this restaurant and the diamond window panes, but I can't remember where I found it.

Greedy collector Jean-Paul Flavand from Paris seems to have cornered the market here!

  1. Per the obsessive collector, you might want to have a look at this blog.
I was going to send you a link directly to one of their articles on automatons, but the site is loading very slowly right now. My wife thinks it might be the new Microsoft stuff acting up.

  2. Rose, I love the work you did with the white christmas horse at the "carousel club" I watched it last night! The colors you selected are perfect. Now that would be a grand wall paper. There is an old carousel that has been restored at a park in Raleigh (where I used to live) Next time I am near-I am going to try to get some pictures for you. G

  3. always loved that carousel club scene from white christmas (and rosemary clooney -swoon!). I wish clubs like that were still around :-(

  4. rurritable - thanks for the link. A pretty lush site!

la - you are so kind, thank you. Yes, I'd love some pictures of the restored carousel. I have always adored the things.

Architect D - I am so glad you love Rosemary Clooney. As a child I thought she was fab and find her so much more interesting than the blond one!

  5. Rose, if I may present an off-topic question: Is White Christmas the film
in which Rosemary Clooney sings that great Irving Berlin torch song,
"Love, You Didn't Do Right By Me"? That would raise it all up a notch, filmwise.

  6. oh Mr Worthington, I'm not sure! I will check it out when I watch it again. Soon. I'm hopeless on songs.
