The Triumph of Hope over Experience

FREE with Tatler July issue!!!!   Never buy the July or August edition of anything.  Half the staff are on holiday, it'll be thin and disappointing. No wonder you get the tacky gift. When will I learn to resist?

You know you're old when you absolutely hate shoes like this  :

  1. Those sunglasses do look nicer than mine though, which are from the same source (last year I think!)

  2. Everything looks forced and uncomfortable. Do you suppose she had little lines on her derriere when she got up? K

  3. Hannah, I don't know why I didn't give up on trying to look like Audrey Hepburn years ago.

Kathy, you certainly get to the bottom of these fashion shots, ha. What a funny thought.

  4. You though m'dear look totally glamorous in your? what, orthopedics. I have gone totally back to the sandals of my grandmother's day-with all the perforations and buckles- very Bes and Aunt Maude style. They even look a little bit chic. xo, Gaye

  6. The girl in the zebra print looks like she's struggling to keep her arse from making contact with the searing concrete. Can't blame her, really.

  7. Those white shoes give new meaning to the term
    "fuck me pumps".

  8. The thin beyond thin scares me. These women do not look sexy. They look sick. Really, really sick. You, on the other hand, look interesting.

Had foot surgery this spring. My doctor would call these shoes job security. Have to say foot surgery sounds like it's a piffling. Anything but. These ladies have so much to look foward to.

  9. "Turbo charged"? I think what they meant to say was hooker charged.

  10. Toby Worthington and HOBAC - I suppose the editor wouldn't allow this fashion story to be called 'Fuck Me, I'm a hooker!'. Why don't they just come out and say it?

Home - Fuck me if you haven't hit the toenail on the head. So many of these ladies are heading for foot surgery. I imagine, yes, it's no small deal.

Blue, oh Blue what an angel mentioning the wallpaper. Why else do you think I put up these pics of me in my breakfast room? It's handprinted from Ornamenta designed by Jane Gordon Clark - matt black and pewter

  12. It wouldn't matter if the legs of these prepubescent lovelies were twice as long - it's all about that wallpaper! Matte black and pewter in a breakfast room - how glam are you!

  13. Thanks Emily. I have to do wallpaper rather than swimsuits these days!

  14. Hey everybody, you notice that she isn't STANDING UP in those shoes. Because she can't do it AND look sexy, if that is what she is supposed to be....

  17. I do like ridiculously high and silly shoes, but not with swimwear! Since I spent a winter in Ugg boots I'm finding it rather hard to walk in my heels for long now. I'll stick with some flip flops! xx
