Does any of this chime at christmas time?

No apologies for another poignant episode of Misery Bear.  Either you love him or you think I've gone soft in the head.   Warning: he'll make you laugh but he might make you cry when you think about it..

  5. I have a dread of Christmas, as I've expressed in my posts, but I ignore those irritants, and as much of "it" as possible, and have no expectation of having a jolly time, and it seems to be a recipe for success. Either way, best to ignore the whole aptly named silly season, and do what suits you. Family gatherings tend to be a complete no-no. Anyway, it's over now, and hogmanay is much much more fun!

  6. That's the ticket!

Never had a proper hogmanay and I long for the New year Eves of my past: my parents' wonderful party when we were children; then graduating to fantastic teenage orgies near Portchester Castle.

  8. Maybe this year will be better. I'm having a drink to you right now, Rose. And it's one of the ones before I start watering them down.
