Congratulations. I quit 30 years ago. Still got lung cancer, but saved a bunch of money.
ReplyDeletethat picture---too marvelous.
ReplyDeleteAnd glad to hear from you---about to send out a search party
Does this mean you've given up fags?
ReplyDeleteAll in a good cause then! Well done.
ReplyDeleteMoe, thanks and so sorry you're embarked on this battle. Just looked at your blog and love the Valentine from your son. It brought a tear to my eye too.
ReplyDeleteDED - more 'stunts in pants' if you google it! Would have welcomed
ReplyDeleteyour search party - was beginning to feel I'd lost it with the blog.
Blue - with a remark as delicious as that, it's self-evident I never could.
Columnist - Thank you, I'm going to have to stick to it now.
Dear Rosie, the picture is wonderful! I love it.
ReplyDeleteWell done for giving up. I've never tried. Switched from Marlboro Lights to roll ups five years ago and have been thinking about finally packing up. We need lunch, I need some tips! xx
Christina - lunch any time, yes!
ReplyDeleteLovely picture and well done on the last cigarette. x LondonZest
ReplyDeleteI feel better since I quit. Now I reluctantly have to turn my quitting skills toward drink. I don't want to give my family the slightest toehold to put me in a home. Lord knows they would, and if it weren't for my wife, they'd have got me there already. I'm still in negotiations with my wife, who's much nicer and much more diplomatic, and, more importantly, still drinking!
ReplyDeleterurritable, by all accounts your wife is fantastic. And I always wondered if those mules don't drive a guy to drink. No, what am I saying - they need to be celebrated with a strong glass of something.
