Maybe It's Because I'm a Gemini..
that I'm beginning to find my blog a bit too well-behaved. I'd love to join the demi-monde of the blogosphere but then I'd have to have another site and I haven't got the energy or the creativity to compete with the sublimely camp outliers I've been visiting. In my ricochet-around today I came across Peg-less, a fellow east Londoner whose blog More stars than there are in the Heavens has been featuring French cinema of the 60s.
Here are Catherine Deneuve and her sister Francoise Dorleac (who was killed in a car crash not long afterwards) in Les Demoiselles de Rochefort (1967).
Ladies, get down to your dressmaker and have them copy either the yellow or the pink number for this summer, why dontcha.

ReplyDeleteI'm well ahead, I already have Mlle Deneuve's hat but tragically lack the legs so may have to rethink. There's always SOMETHING just not quite right. C x
ReplyDeleteThere's more than SOMETHING not quite right in my case. Lend me the hat one day why dontcha! Thanks for your footprint on the blog. Rosie
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to see I'm not the only one a little hat obsessed!! They're gorgeous! If only there were more places to wear them!
ReplyDeleteWhy thank you for mentioning me my dear ...
ReplyDeleteI want Maxence (Jacques Perrin) and Deneuve all to myself!! I'd love to be in the middle of that fabulous french fancy!
your fellow EastEnder (I'm Pat and you're Dot)

Toma thank you for looking at this. I love the hats but it's the way the the dresses swing that really attracted me. I like the square cut armholes too!
